CARSON, California (April 24, 2019) — Papadakis Racing is headed east to the Sunshine State for Round 2 of the 2019 Formula Drift championship at Orlando Speed World this Friday and Saturday. Driver Fredric Aasbo says he’s excited to return to the track that saw him put down a near-perfect 99-point qualifying score last year.

Forrest Wang claims double victory at Motegi Racing Super DRIFT Challenge at Grand Prix Of Long Beach

In its formative years, Formula DRIFT provided a full track demonstration of drifting skills for spectators at the Grand Prix of Long Beach street race. However, the format was changed about four years ago to better reflect a competitive drift event. Taking place in the evening under the lights, it was the first time in the history of GPLB that a support series was held at night. Known as the Motegi Racing Super DRIFT Challenge, it continues to entertain race fans at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Taylor Hull debuts his Comp Cams Cadillac ATS-V for the first time drifting in the streets of Long Beach

Saturday April 6 marked the beginning of a new season for the Formula Drift Pro Championship as 20,000 spectators poured into the Streets of Long Beach of sunny Southern California. Although no longer a rookie in the series, 2019 is the first year Taylor Hull has made it to compete at the first round.
