RESULTS FROM FD PRO QUALIFYING

  1. Justin Pawlak (USA) – Falken Tire Ford Mustang
  2. Fredric Aasbo (Norway)  – Rockstar Energy Drink Toyota GR Supra
  3. Chelsea DeNofa (USA) – BC Racing / Nitto Tire Ford Mustang RTR Spec 5-D


NOTES
After a canceled event in 2020, the FD PRO Championship is back on the Streets of Long Beach, although no longer the opening round as in past years

  • Streets of Long Beach is one of the most technical tracks on the FD schedule because drivers need to get out to concrete walls to score maximum points, but the same walls are unforgiving if drivers push too hard
  • 33 drivers attempted to qualify for the Top 32 Competition Heats. Josh Reynolds (USA) was eliminated after two incomplete runs, including a spin and collision in his Drift Force / Nexen Tire F22 Eurofighter BMW
  • Number one qualifier, Pawlak secured the top spot thanks to a better angle score than second-placed Aasbo. The Norwegian scored an identical 97 points
  • Third-placed DeNofa scored 96 points and sits second in the FD PRO Championship, while current title leader, Matt Field (USA) scored 94 points, qualifying sixth in the Falken Tire / Drift Cave Chevrolet Corvette
  • Jonathan Hurst (USA) was the top rookie, qualifying 14th in the Cash Racing Infiniti G37
