PRO NOTES

  • Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown is the first dedicated drift arena in the USA. The fast figure-8 layout produced both incredibly close battles and a degree of carnage throughout the thrilling competition heats
  • The weather was warm and dry
  • Both FD PRO Finalists had never been in a FD PRO Final or stood on the podium. Both drive BMW M3s with Chevrolet LS V8 engines
  • Winner Reeder has been an FD PRO driver for four years. He qualified 29th and the win moved him up one place to seventh in the Championship
  • Reeder had two One More Time battles on his way to the Final and was delighted to have beaten the highly-rated DeNofa in the Top 4 heats
  • Second-place Charpentier qualified 14th and the result has catapulted him from 16th to ninth in the title race
  • Finishing third, DeNofa has risen from seventh to fifth in the 2022 Championship
  • Finishing fourth, Matt Field (USA) has moved to the FD PRO Championship points lead with his Drift Cave / Falken Tire C6 Corvette
  • Field has a narrow four-point lead over former points leader and defending Champion, Fredric Aasbo (Norway) driving the Rockstar Energy Toyota GR Supra. Aasbo was knocked out of the Top 8 by DeNofa
  • Top Rookie Daniel Stuke (USA) qualified tenth in the Stuke Racing / MspeK Performance Nissan S14.9. He finished 11th and is tenth in the overall standings
  • After the Round 4, Toyota leads the 2022 Formula DRIFT PRO Auto Cup and Falken narrowly heads the Tire Cup

  • PROSPEC competition was split across two days, with the Top 32 heats taking place on Friday evening and the Top 16 to the Final completed on Saturday morning
  • Perfect weather accompanied both PROSPEC competition sessions
  • All PROSPEC teams must use Link ECU engine management as well as GT Radial tires supplied and fitted by TireStacks.com
  • Throdle, FCP Euro and Royal Purple contingency programs are available for PROSEPC competitors who meet the defined criteria
  • Brutskiy returned to his 2020/21 Championship-winning form, qualifying second and taking the Round 2 win. After a disappointing Round 1, he’s pulled himself up to fourth in the 2022 Link ECU PROSPEC Championship standings and has his sights on a third title
  • Top Rookie Thorne has successfully converted his GT racing experience to Formula DRIFT. He qualified fifth and finished second in only his second FD event. Not only was this his first FD podium, remarkably he’s now leading the title race
  • Third-place Lemaire qualified first but battled mechanical problems throughout the competition heats. It began with broken suspension sustained during warm-up, which possibly contributed to a power steering failure before the Top 8. However, he persevered and sits seventh in the Championship table
  • Andy Hateley (USA) was the championship points leader after the opening round but engine problems with his Hateley Motorsports BMW E46 meant he finished 14th and has dropped to third in the table
