Debut of the REVD Award within the Formula Drift Championship

REV’D PROVISION Co., the maker of maca superfood nutrition bars that feed the world’s most exciting athletes, acknowledges all things action sports from skateboarding and surfing to snowboarding and everything in between, announces the REV’D Award in collaboration with Formula DRIFT, the premiere International sanctioning body for drifting.

What is the REV’D Award? (#REVDAWARD) The REV’D Award will be granted to the most deserving driver of the 2014 Formula DRIFT United States Championship.  The winner will be chosen through the combination of the following three votes, weighted equally.

1. The Fans: FD fans love their favorite drivers and the fans will have one-third of the vote via social media, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.  Add @REVD on the social network sites and tag #REVDAWARD and your favorite driver’s name to vote throughout the season.
2. The DRIVERS: The field of drivers competing in Formula Drift will also represent one-third of the vote by casting their ballots just ahead of the final round of the FD Championship in Irwindale, CA.  The drivers’ votes will show us the peer they respect the most throughout the 2014 Championship.
3. Jarod DeAnda: REV’D Provision Company has chosen Jarod DeAnda, The Voice of Formula DRIFT, to cast a vote representing the final third of the decision. Jarod sees the blood, sweat and beers behind all the smoke and has a unique vantage point to evaluate the field and help determine who is most deserving of the REVD Award.

What are the criteria for the #REVDAWARD? You should vote for the driver that chops down the competition, it’s not necessarily about winning but about driving with impact, style, attitude and being #REVD throughout the season. Ultimately, the votes will grant the REVD Award to the driver and car that that has it all, from the admiration of the fans, to the respect of the other drivers and of course skills behind the wheel that make them stand out from the crowd!

The #REVDAWARD will come with not just a title but also a $2,000 cash prize and a very unique, one-of-a-kind trophy. The REVD Award trophy is a custom, handmade “Cruiser” model axe, provided by Base Camp X.  Yep, a serious, functional tool used to cut down whatever you see fit and representing the most REVD tire slayer of the FD series. The title, the Base Camp X trophy axe plus the cash bounty of $2,000 will be the winner’s spoils. Presented at the Final Fight Round 7 at Irwindale, CA.
