RESULTS
Winner: Vaughn Gittin Jr (USA) – Monster Energy / Nitto Tire / Ford Performance Mustang RTR Spec 5-D
Second: Justin Pawlak (USA) – Roush Performance / Falken Tire Ford Mustang
Third: Ryan Tuerck (USA) – Gumout / Nitto Tire / Mobil 1 Toyota Corolla

NOTES

  • Vaughn Gittin Jr (USA) achieved a double PRO Championship win this weekend at FD SEA
  • The Final heat against Justin Pawlak (USA) went to One More Time after intense competition between both drivers
  • Three Ford Mustangs made it into the Top 4
  • Many teams started Sunday nursing problems from Saturday’s Round Three. One of the most heavily damaged was Aurimas “Odi” Bakchis (Lithuania) in the Falken Tire / Feal Suspension Nissan S15. His team repaired the car, fitting new bodywork and a rebuilt supercharger but he was again knocked out of the Top 16 by Gittin Jr, just as in Round Three
  • Papadakis Racing had to repair both its car before the Top 32, with the Rockstar Energy Drink / Nitto Tire GR Supra of Fredric Aasbo (Norway) sidelined with a cracked inlet manifold and the Gumout / Nitto Tire / Mobil 1 Toyota Corolla of Ryan Tuerck (USA) requiring suspension and brake repairs

  • Despite taking a Competition Timeout, Aasbo was eliminated when he failed to reach the starting line for his heat, so the FD PRO series leader made an early exit
  • Tuerck would eventually place third after a tough fight for with Chelsea DeNofa (USA) in the BC Racing / Nitto Tire Ford Mustang RTR. Tuerck now narrowly leads the FD PRO Championship heading into Round Five in Texas
  • DeNofa’s RTR team changed the rear-end before the third-place run-off against Tuerck following a heavy impact with the wall in his Top 4 heat against teammate Gittin Jr
  • Taylor Hull (USA) scored his best PRO career result, placing sixth in his Comp Cams / Achilles Radial / YellowSpeed Racing Cadillac ATS-V
  • Best rookie was again by Adam LZ (USA) in the Enjuku Racing Nissan S15, who climbed to 9th place overall
  • Ford displaces Toyota from the lead of the Auto Cup while Nitto continues to lead the Tire Cup after four rounds
