After recently announcing a full schedule for the 2021 season, Formula DRIFT is excited to announce that tickets are now available for Rounds One through Six at formulad.com
Beginning in Atlanta, GA at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, the series kicks off on May 7-8 for the Formula DRIFT PRO category. Round Two at Orlando Speed World in Florida on May 21-22 also sees the opening round of the new PROSPEC series join the PRO teams. Replacing PRO2, new regulations for PROSPEC teams means both championships will qualify and compete on the same days. Friday will see qualification for both, followed by a packed Saturday of hardcore competition heats and finals.
Both championships will also appear at Englishtown Raceway Park on June 18-19. This will see the debut of the brand-new drift arena, which is the first purpose-built drift stadium of its kind. Round 4 of the PRO series sees the teams heading to Lake Erie Speedway in Pennsylvania on July 9-10. As with all Formula DRIFT venues, these tracks are accessible to fans from across the region, with Englishtown accessible to fans from New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and more. While Lake Erie Speedway can be reached from Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, Toronto and many other cities in the area.
Round Five for the PRO teams is the popular Evergreen Speedway on July 30-31, which attracts FD fans from across the Pacific Northwest. Both PRO and PROSPEC meet again for Round Six at World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, IL on August 27-28. Both these rounds are well established on the Formula DRIFT calendar and attract loyal fans.
With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, attendance and crowd capacity may vary by venue, but each Round will be governed by its State and Local Government requirements in terms of attendance and health precautions. As always, Formula DRIFT places the health and safety of its fans, teams and staff above anything else, and will ensure all safety precautions are taken.
The 2021 FD PRO and Link ECU PROSPEC Championships will also be available to view online free of charge thanks to the extremely popular Formula DRIFT livestream. This can be accessed via formulad.com as well as its social media and YouTube channels.
