PRO NOTES
- After another exciting event, Round 6 of the Formula DRIFT PRO Championship crowned its sixth winner of the 2022 season
- To claim the win, DeNofa had to beat two previous round winners, a three-time Champion and the Championship points leader. The result moves him from sixth to fifth overall
- Although he’s yet to win a round this season, Field’s second place allowed him to not only retain the Championship lead but extend his advantage to 56 points thanks to the demise of his nearest rivals
- After achieving his best qualifying result of the season, Forsberg was able to convert it into his third podium of the year. He remains fourth overall
- Top qualifier Kazuya Taguchi (Japan) was eliminated from the Top 32 competition heats after he got lost in the smoke created by Dan Burkett (USA) and left the track in his ISR UpGarage / GT Radial Scion FRS. The new fan favorite promised to learn from his mistake
- Burkett finished the night in fourth in his RAD Industries / GearWrench / GT Radial MkIV Toyota Supra, recording his best ever FD PRO result
- Nick Noback (USA) was the leading Rookie, placing 22nd overall in his KoruWorks E46 BMW. However, he dropped to 23rd in the title race. Previous Rookie leader Daniel Stuke (USA), who failed to qualify for FD SEA, dropped to 24th. The top Rookie is now Mike Power (USA) who sits 21st overall as the Rookie race tightens
- After the Round 6, Toyota continues to lead the 2022 Formula DRIFT PRO Auto Cup and Falken heads the Tire Cup
