RESULTS FROM FD PRO SEEDING BRACKET
- Andy Hateley (USA) – Hateley Motorsports E46 BMW
- Ben Hobson (USA) – Pennzoil / BC Racing Mustang RTR Spec 5-FD
- Rudy Hansen (USA) – Team Hansen Supercharged Nissan S13
NOTES: PRO
- The K&N PRO Seeding Bracket was won by Hateley after Hobson lost power during their first run in the Final
- With the Top 24 competition places determined by the results from Round 6, ten drivers were competing in the Seeding Bracket to occupy positions 25-32 for Saturday’s competition heats. The Seeding Bracket is decided by competitive tandem runs, from which the top eight finishers advance while the remainder are eliminated
- For second-place Hobson, it was a semi-frustrating Seeding Bracket. Although the RTR Mustang experienced problems on several runs, Hobson was able to qualify for only the second time this season. The team has until Saturday to rectify any issues
- Drivers listed in the PRO Seeding Bracket table below position eight have been eliminated from competition
NOTES: PROSPEC
- In PROSPEC, the first 16 positions were preset from Round 3, with the remaining 30 drivers competing in a Seeding Bracket to claim one of the remaining 16 places in Top 32 competition. With so many eligible drivers, the PROSPEC Seeding Bracket is sudden death, with the loser of each tandem run eliminated
- The names of drivers who advanced or were eliminated are listed in the PROSPEC table below. The successful drivers will compete in the competition heats today (Friday), populating positions 17-32
- With two points separating the top two PROSPEC drivers, and four others with a mathematical chance of winning the Championship, everything is on the line. For example, following the Seeding Bracket, points leader Connor O’Sullivan (USA) is paired against double PROSPEC Champion Dmitriy Brutskiy in the Top 32 heats, giving O’Sullivan a challenging start to his title bid
