PRO NOTES
- The Type S PRO Seeding Bracket got underway early on Friday morning following its postponement on Thursday evening in response to a violent storm that wreaked havoc throughout the venue
- The Formula DRIFT competitive Seeding Bracket qualification format locks in the first 20 PRO Championship competition places based on ranking achieved at the previous Round. The remaining drivers must qualify for one of 12 competition places via the Seeding Bracket
- The Seeding Bracket format has been reconfigured to ensure all drivers in the Top 32 competition heats will face a driver rather than a bye run. As a result, the top 8 finishers automatically progress, with the next four places decided by driver ranking
- With 13 drivers competing in the Top 16 Seeding Bracket for 12 places in competition, only Federico Sceriffo (Italy) was eliminated after he lost his first battle against Nick Noback (USA)
- Drivers receive three Championship points for every Seeding Bracket heat they win. The winning driver, for example, gains 12 points after winning the Seeding Bracket Final heat
- In this instance, the Type S PRO Seeding Bracket was won by Rookie Shanahan following a fierce battle with Lemaire. The Irishman was awarded the victory thanks to a superior chase run and gained an advantage in Rookie of the Year title over fellow newbie, Lemaire
- Third place went to Burkett, who lost to Lemaire in their Top 4 heat but had a higher ranking than Noback who lost to Shanahan
