PRO NOTES
- Following the arrival of a powerful storm front, Formula DRIFT took the decision to reschedule the PRO Championship Seeding Bracket to Friday. Although bad weather had been forecast, nobody was prepared for the speed and severity of the storm’s arrival shortly after the conclusion of the PROSPEC Seeding Bracket
- The damage caused by the high winds included a tree falling on Jeff Jones’ PRO competition car. The paddock area was also decimated, with damage to awnings, transporters, and infrastructure
- With some teams unable to work on their cars in the paddock, and the amount of potentially dangerous metalwork strewn across the venue, Formula DRIFT decided it would be safer to postpone, allowing everybody to regroup

PROSPEC NOTES
- The Link ECU PROSPEC Seeding Bracket Qualification locked in the first 24 places based on finishing positions from Round 1. The remaining 15 drivers then battled for 12 competition places in the Seeding Bracket
- The winner was Rookie Jerry Johnson (USA) who took a beating on his way to the Final, getting knocked off track in the Top 4. He also attempted to climb over Hoplamazian’s S13 when a false start triggered some confusion and a collision in the Final. Unfazed, Johnson completed both runs with determination to take the win. He’ll face Kelsey Rowlings in the Top 32 competition heats tomorrow
- Rookie Hoplamazian took the long route to the Final, competing in two One More Time (OMT) battles before losing to Johnson
- Habich lost a tight OMT battle with Hoplamazian in the Top 4 to finish third
- PROSPEC drivers receive three Championship points per heat win, with Johnson scoring 12 points thanks to his four victories
- Chellee Hansen (USA) was pulled from her Team Hansen Supercharged Nissan S13 after it rolled onto its side following a collision with Carsen Ruger (USA) in the Top 16 heats. Surging towards Hansen to regain proximity, Ruger hit the rear of Hansen’s Nissan, pushing it off the track. A rear tire appeared to dig into the dirt, pitching the car onto its side. Both drivers were unable to repair their cars in the allotted time, which meant Ruger was eliminated while Hansen qualified but was unable to advance in the Seeding Bracket
- Unfortunately, Ruger, Sam Maghmoumi (Lebanon) and Kasey Kohl (USA) failed to win their Top 16 Seeding heats and were eliminated because they had the lowest rankings
- All teams in the Link ECU PROSPEC Championship must use Link engine management and GT Radial tires
