NOTES

  • Following the introduction of the UDSM (Universal Drift Scoring Method) telemetry and data system from Race Data Labs, the technology was used in a supporting role during Top 32 Competition. It was enlisted to help the judges understand vehicle dynamics and get a better insight into incidents such as collisions, off-track excursions, etc
  • In addition to providing more data to assist the judges, UDSM also helped accelerate the judging process, ensuring the fans enjoyed more action and less deliberation
  • Repeating his Round 1 win from 2025, Talaska stood on the top step of the podium after a fierce tussle with Webb in the Final. The result proved Talaska’s consistency after he finished fourth in the 2025 PROSPEC standings and narrowly missed promotion into the PRO Championship
  • On his way to the win, Talaska beat Rookie Levi Wait (USA) in the Top 32, Kasey Kohl (USA) in the Top 16, Sam Maghmoumi (Lebanon) in the Top 8 and a determined Jerry Jones (USA) in the Final 4 after a One More Time battle
  • Webb, a 32 year-old FD Rookie has been drifting for more than a decade, won four South African national titles. and competed around the world in numerous drift events. He imported his right-hand drive Mustang from South Africa to Canada, where he lives and drove it to a highly competitive second place finish
  • Third place Brutskiy is a regular PROSPEC podium visitor, having won the Championship twice in 2020 and 2021. For the past two seasons, Dmitriy competed in both PRO and PROSPEC but is focusing solely on the latter this year
  • Series history was made in Atlanta when 14 year-old Camren Sorensen (USA) faced off against 15 year-old Rookie Braden Lons (USA) in the Top 16 after they both won their Top 32 heats. The youngest of three Sorensen sibling competing in FD won their battle, although Lons was handicapped by a clutch problem. Sorensen would be defeated in the Top 8 heats by Brutskiy
  • Sorensen would finish fifth on the night and place ninth in the Championship standings. Lons placed 16th but was catapulted to eighth overall thanks to his 12 Championship points haul from winning the Seeding Bracket Qualification on Thursday
