Tickets for the Final Round 8: Shoreline Showdown on the Streets of Long Beach course are on sale from today. And Formula DRIFT has revealed it will now be an evening event, taking place under floodlights.

Following the closure of Irwindale Speedway, the Final Round 8 moved from its traditional venue to a new home on the Streets of Long Beach in Long Beach, CA. And after a very successful inaugural event, Formula DRIFT has decided to recreate some of the magic from those historic finales at Irwindale by moving from a daytime to an evening event. The unique street layout and lighting package will bring some of the ambiance of downtown Long Beach. Not only will it provide an enhanced competition environment for the action, but a concert-like atmosphere at the event itself, adding to the excitement as the 2026 Formula DRIFT PRO Champion is crowned.
“Everybody was disappointed to lose Irwindale Speedway – “The House of Drift” – from the fans to the drivers and our own team,” admitted Ryan Sage, President of Formula DRIFT. “It was a big decision to build our own course on the Streets of Long Beach but its reception was so overwhelming we knew we had to stay. And after proving everything worked in 2025, we’ve decided to go all-in and create a night event, which will only heighten the drama of the on-track action.”
The annual Irwindale fireworks display was always a fan favorite, and Formula DRIFT is planning to incorporate fireworks into the proceedings for the finale, to add to the overall spectacle of the event.
