PUMA features Formula DRIFT Judge Tony Angelo in Video Series
Formula DRIFT Judge and driver Tony Angelo was recently featured in a new video by PUMA in their “Lean In and Ride with Us” Series. Tony explains what drifting is and how it compares to riding his Ducati through the city.
The short teaser was created into a commercial spot that airs on FUEL TV and features Tony along with the 6 other riders that are being profiled including fashion designer Duncan Quinn, Raymond Rokery the founder of URB magazine, and the band the Bravery.
Hold the Line Pro-Am Series
For Immediate Release:
Tony Angelo is proud to announce his newest drifting endeavor, the Hold the Line Formula D Pro-Am series. Hold the Line (“HTL”) will fill the Pro-Am void that exists in the Northeastern US. HTL will be a four event series held at two of the best drift tracks in the region, the venerable Englishtown Raceway in Old Bride, NJ, and the fresh, state of the art Monticello Motor Club in Monticello, NY. Over the past 8 years, Englishtown has been the host of many groundbreaking drift events, while Monticello is a superbly appointed, state of the art facility that has only recently opened its doors to drifting.
“I’m really happy to announce the Hold the Line series to all the up and coming drivers from my neck of the woods, and I’m excited to be working with two world-class facilities to deliver what is surely going to be a fun and exciting series.” said Angelo.
The HTL program will deliver full FD licenses to the top series finishers. Hold the Line also boasts such features as Drift demos by some of the best competitors in the sport today, and a judging panel headed by Tony Angelo, himself. Hold the Line will work in conjunction with Clubloose at Englishtown, and D-Up! at Monticello Motor Club.

Video: Tony Angelo / Ryan Tuerck Missile Launch Party
On October 22nd, 2010, I traveled to Englishtown Raceway to film a “missile day” with Tony Angelo and Ryan Tuerck.
Ryan and I arrived at the track while Tony was having a battle with his own car. After picking up an FC in Florida, Tony made the trek up to NJ, blowing up 2 turbos in the process.
Once at the track and two laps in, Tony destroyed a third turbo leaving him without a missile for the day. Thankfully, Ryan’s brother Justin lent Tony his car for only 30 minutes, giving us enough time to shoot this video.
Ryan’s car, on the other hand, had it’s own problems throughout the day (missing key = hot-wiring the ignition, e-brake failure, front and rear main seals leaking *12 quarts of oil were used in the course of three hours at the track*)
Enjoy it, because we sure didn’t.
