They call it the Gauntlet for a reason. It’s a track where real automotive combat goes down. Cars break, wreck, catch fire, and only the strong survive. By the time the event is wrapped up, the track looks like a mini war zone / junk yard. Parts are everywhere. The rails are bent, tire pieces everywhere, broken bumpers, wings, etc. Even the media guys and some fans don’t leave un harmed (sun burn). This years Formula Drift round 4 at Wall Speedway was no exception.

Things got off to a great start for Chris Forsberg who qualified in first place and is currently the points leader in the series. Chris would later put on a great performance and finish second on the podium. Continue reading [COVERAGE] I Will Break You – Formula Drift The Gauntlet – By What Monsters Do

Chris Jeanneret Formula Drift Speed factory Honda S2000 at Long Beach Blue Enkei NT03+M Wheels

We had the chance to take a few shots of Chris’ Speed Factory S2000 Formula Drift Car this past weekend. Chris was not able to get the car running in time for round 1 but we’re looking forward to seeing this S2k at Road Atlanta! He calibrated with Speed Factory this year, who is known for 1000+ hp drag racing Honda’s, so we can’t wait to see how it squares up against those V8′s. I’m sure Chris will have the huge Honda fan base cheering him on throughout the season. Awesome to see a Honda back in FD – We’re also stoked on those blue wheels – 18×9.5 Enkei NT03+M custom powder coated blue wrapped in Falken tires! Check out the photos and spec list after the jump! Feel free to share them with your friends.

Formula DRIFT Rookie Nate Hamilton: Build Part 2

Posted on

Made my second stop at Nate Hamilton’s shop and as you can see, the engine made it in and was being worked on during my visit. Nate is using a LS7 built by LG Motorsport – a bigger motor than what he ran last year. It’s basically a LS7 head with a LS3 block. LG Motorsport will tune the car as well. This year, Nate picked up Holley as a sponsor so will be using Holley throttle body, fuel rails, etc.

The inside chassis has come a long way from our last visit – seats are in, EFI, oil setup, Stack Dash Display System, among other things.
