There was no stopping Marc Landreville this year. The Canadian driver of the Perry Performance Nissan S14 240SX crushed nearly every opponent he faced in 2016, cleared virtually every hurdle by a huge margin. At Round 1: Road Atlanta, he qualified first and finished second. At the following event, Round 2: Orlando, he improved, earning top qualifier and the top step of the podium. In Texas for Round 3, he stumbled a bit, qualifying third but winning the event. And for the season ender at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, Ariz., it was another perfect contest – number-one qualifier and the round win.

Marc Landreville Wins Final PRO2 Event of the Season and Captures the PRO2 Championship
Long Beach, Calif. – October 2, 2016 – Formula DRIFT PRO2 entered Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park for the first ever stand-alone PRO2 event, which was also the final event of the four event PRO2 Championship. Marc Landreville in the Perry Performance Nissan 240 took his third consecutive PRO2 victory to win the event and earn the PRO2 Championship.

Dirk Stratton in the Lingenfelter Performance Corvette C6 finished the event in third place.
“The event was great,” said Marc Landreville, 2016 Formula DRIFT PRO2 champion. “The car was great and I had some excellent drivers to go up against, so that made for tremendous competition to end the season on a high note.”
The PRO2 Championship concludes the 2016 season with new champion Marc Landreville. Finishing in second place is Jeff Jones in the DOC Racing Nissan 240 and Andrew Lewis in the Andrew Lewis Racing Nissan 240 in third place.

Formula D Pro2 Texas 2016 By Super Street Magazine
We know the driving in Formula DRIFT’s Pro2 hot-shoe development series isn’t supposed to be as advanced or polished as what you see in the top-tier Pro championship, but 2016 has had more than its share of cringe-worthy moments. One of the highlights (lowlights?) this season will undoubtedly be Andrew Lewis and Austin Meeks’ comedy of errors in Top 8 at Texas Motor Speedway, when the two Nissan S-chassis pilots scored a grand sum of zero points after three laps around the circuit, a total of six laps between them – that’s the pair going out for their first lap and both getting goose eggs, and then doing it again after they switched positions, again for zero scores. And then again on the first lap of their One-More-Time (OMT) tiebreaker orbit.

Marc Landreville Takes the Win and a Commanding Lead in the Standings
Long Beach, Calif. – September 9, 2016 – Formula DRIFT PRO2 presented by BlackVue entered Dallas, Texas for Round 3 at Texas Motor Speedway. Marc Landreville in the Perry Performance Nissan 240 took his second consecutive PRO2 victory to increase his lead for the PRO2 championship with only one event remaining this season.
Texas Motor Speedway hosted Round 3 of the PRO2 Championship. The action packed evening saw Dirk Stratton in the Lingenfelter Performance Corvette C6 face Trenton Beechum in the Falken Tire / JoyHollywood Ford Mustang in the semi-finals. Stratton spun on the first run and made a few more errors in the second run helping to send Beechum into the Finals. Landreville met Andrew Lewis on the other side of the bracket and outdrove his opponent to move into his second consecutive Finals. In the Finals, Beechum lacked consistency in his driving, which helped Landreville take the victory and ultimately the points lead.
“This was a great battle. Last weekend we had issues with the car and this weekend it ran perfect,” said Marc Landreville, winner of PRO2 Round 3. “My team did a great job and we took the win. I was leading only by a couple points and now have a good lead going into the final round so there’s less pressure and we can have fun and just do what I need to do on the track.”
The 2016 Formula DRIFT PRO2 Championship will continue to Round 4 at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Phoenix, AZ on September 30 – October 1, 2016.
