Long Beach Magazine Recognizes FD Founders

Formula DRIFT founders Jim Liaw and Ryan Sage have been recognized by Long Beach magazine in their annual Innovative Icons issue. The Formula DRIFT office is based in Long Beach and has worked closely with the city for their events including Round 1: Streets of Long Beach, Team Drift during the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, and the Red Bull Drifting World Championship held on the Port of Long Beach. Each event has brought revenue and exposure to the city  and Long Beach Magazine has recognized them for their hard work, innovation, and commitment to the city.

Congrats to Jim and Ryan…well deserved!

Road Atlanta FD Pro-Am Registration

During Formula Drift Round 2: The Gauntlet on May 8-9 the FD Pro Am Series will continue in association with US Drift.  The top 4 Drivers will receive invitations to FD Pro Am Nationals which will be held in Arizona, on December 5, 2009 at Firebird Raceway.  Visit PRO AM Registration for Pro-Am driver registration for the Road Atlanta event.  For more information visit FD Pro-Am Page

This past weekend NBC’s “Whipnotic” featured segments on Formula DRIFT with co-founder Jim Liaw and one with driver Vaughn Gittin Jr. For those that missed the episode here are the 2 clips from the show. The Vaughn Gittin interview also aired during NBC’s nightly news cast on Friday.
